No difference at all. I thought it would help with the DMA problem. When I install the ATA storage drivers I cannot see the DMA check box. When I delete the driver the DMA box is there. So I am working without that storage driver.
Try read mes. They often contain usefull information - like the software automaically sets the drives to the fastest DMA mode - if the drives support it. (well I think, I saw that in a read me).
