Intel has a replacement for it's ATA Storage Drivers. The Intel Application Accelerator. Anyone tried it yet? It' for download on the Intel sit.

I downloaded and installed it. it did not really make much difference as far as i could tel.

No difference at all. I thought it would help with the DMA problem. When I install the ATA storage drivers I cannot see the DMA check box. When I delete the driver the DMA box is there. So I am working without that storage driver.

:smile: Try read mes. They often contain usefull information - like the software automaically sets the drives to the fastest DMA mode - if the drives support it. (well I think, I saw that in a read me).
