Just added Pulsar2 to Pulsar1 and loaded Scope4 but I can't get the samplerate to stay at 44.1k.It keeps blinking as if it cannot attach to clock.I've tried a different samplerate but it won't connect at all.It was working at one point but lost clock after while.
Any ideas?
Thanks

1. Do you have the both cards connected with an STDM cable?
2. Do you have them set to master or slave?

If the first is YES then check the connections. If it's another situation then I don't know

When you use an STDM cable that usually comes with three connectors, in the case of two cards only use always the connectors at the two ends of the cable, living the middle one empty, for a better termination.

thanks for that one Alfonso, I didn't know that.

I checked the manual, it says:
5. When using only two DSP cards, connect the outer S/TDM connections, leaving the middle one free.[/i[

I overlooked that.
Your use of the word termination made me ring a bell, I remember it in connection with SCSI issues of the past.

Connections changed now

Sorry MM, not of any help, I know

Yes I have tried that but I think it may need a fresh install because it happens on XP partition too so I guess it's the adding of a new card?Wierd.

Hello!

I ve experienced the same exact problem in the past. You can have a look here and here.

In order to save you from the trouble of reading through those 2 threads, I suggest you to check if any of the I/O cards has come a bit loose. In that case, just screw it tighter (thats how I solved my problem).
Oh, and dont forget to clean with pure alcohol the STDM connectors.

Hope that helps!

Yes Pulsar2 looks like I/O hasn't been pushed in properly(2nd hand).
Where do I get pure alcohol from and what type of cloth do I use?
Thanks

use a lint free swab(cotton works). 99% pure alchohol can be found in a pharmacy.

reseat the i/o card carefully, make sure it's straight. it takes firm pressure but it's not hard,so be gentle. 4 small, clear, plastic screws should be keeping it in place.......

Damn Just broke 2.
I have 3 card setup in my other computer and that flies like a a bird.
Could it be just plain faulty?
I tightened I/O board and 44.1 was ok the I moved the mouse and it went beserk.Maybe there's a conflict?
Can I get anymore plastic screws?
Thanks

Both cards work solidly on their own.

Also get an error:
Hardware16 installed,sofware upgrade needed.
This happens after I change PCI slots.
Sure STDM is not connected.Left it for 20 mins and STDM error comes up.
Going to buy 100% alcohol tomorrow.

That sort of error comes up when the PC can't find the driver......updating driver in device manager should sort it out.

Reloading drivers and it asks for
drmk.sys
Windows 98
Could this be anything with direct-x.
Could anything upset the function of samplerate?

Sorry,it found xp drivers that's why.
