They've included the working sample Osc for modular....the older one that saves/recalls properly.
Seems like quite a lot of dsp files/module files etc are actually older than ones from 3.1c.....well that's cool by me if they work

Is it me, or do Source and Destination devices now show their given name in the Live Bar?

I'm sure in 3.1, they just showed up as 'Source S' or whatever.

For me new and old bug:

new:
1- changing ulli settings without closing and reopening sfp cause crash

old:
1- aux cables in 1632 still disappear
2- deleting dest and source module won't graphically update the modules they are related to.

The rest is all the same.
Don't know why to rename sfp 4.0..

that's all folkes!

Graphics seem more responsive to me, or is it placebo?

No, it's not placebo, I know that graphic, dsp and timing optimization have been the core of V.4.0 developement...it's not bells and whistles improvements, but show how serious CWA people are, i.m.o....

I haven't had time to put SCOPE 4.0 through its paces.
All I can say is that installation was easy and it all works.
AND... I didn't have to go reinstalling 3rd party and older stuff.

I bought the STM 2448 mixer and it seems to use less DSP than what the STM 1632 did (???)
Not sure if it's just SCOPE 4.0 optimisation or if the STM 2448 is just better optimised - I note you can split the load across multiple boards if you have them . . hmmm

Anyway, all is well with SCOPE 4.0 here so far.
Cheers

I still get blue screens when I fiddle with latency settings using WDM. Also I'm sure they haven't fixed the multichannel crackling and so forth.

Thankfully Sonar has ASIO support!
Well no blue screens here, but when I change the latency to and relpy with yes wether this should be activated instantly, the whole system freezes, just like with 3.1c. If I answer no, save, quit and reload SFP all is fine with new latency settings.

Nice to know that some things can be are here to stay, but why this feature ?

cheers

Well they fixed the crash when you plug/unplug an external USB device (Hard Driver /CDROM) in SFP mode, now it only crashes when you load XTC mode and then exit XTC mode and load SFP again and try to plug the USB Device.

I hope next version of SFP fixes it at all.

BAh!

You made me check it out. It was just too impossible. After all, even third party devices got squared. Nice joke anyway

On further usage of SCOPE 4.0, I have noticed 2 things that are new, at least related to the Mac version.

1. I can perform high-wire acrobatics now

2. I'm more tolerant towards potato people's endless demands.

I dont recall this from 3.1c but,

It seems they changed the way patch menu's work now, in 3.1c some times the patch menu would vanish and I would have to recall another patch menu to see where I was at, this was annoying since you would lose your point of reference (unless noted in live bar).

Now it seems, that the patch menu in windows atleast shows as a "tab" above the task bar. This is interesting because I had a project I loaded up and had no joke 5 instances of Pro One patch menus open, I was like wth are all these tabs and they all said Pro One on them, so for me this is a nice little thing

Cheers!

Problems I noticed:

1. When shrinking the Live Bar (to dislpay only devices icons), the control buttons (minimize, stay on top, close) cover the SFP logo.

2. When minimizing live bar, the "Minimize" caption still lingers on the screen.

I just wanted to say that on a Mac, the "file", "set" and "?"" menus behave the same and it isn't fixed. Live bar: when you collaps it and then drag it too fast it detaches from the pointer so you have to move it several times to reach the desired position - that was also in 3.1c.

I just wanted to say, that the 2448 mixer still have 24 stereo channels. This has not been changed since it's release.

Could we stick to changes now?

I checked with Directory Compare utility, some dsp files have been updated.
