What is this file extension about?

I've downloaded a file from internet that it's suppoused to be an Akai sample collection, but the file has a .SUB extension. What is that for?, how can I use it?.

SUB= Rational Rose component package

Whatever the hell that means.... :lol:

C'mon guys!... I really need help here, I just want to know if that file extension corresponds to some compression format, as it is with .ace, .rar or .zip extensions.

I'll appreciate a real help on this.

All I can find are reference to Visual C++ and workgroup scheduling.

Rational Rose seems to be a very versatile application...

Sorry, I wasted enough time on this. I don't think it will harm your system, Snoopy. :smile:

A .sub file is a CD image file. You need to burn this image file on a CD with a program called CDRWin or something like that (or maybe with Nero too). You have to choose "create CD from image file" from the CD-burning program and it will create an AKAI formatted CD.
