Re: Mod IV install problem.
GaryB has it unzipped, so you can do the install. Contact him.
However, I've still not been able to get the tape delay to work in x64. Others here sent me some files that were supposed fixes, but they didn't change my problems (no delay and mod IV complaining about WDM Missing). My messages to support at Sonic Core are unanswered about this yet..........

Thanks !
I made like explain here :
http://forums.planetz.com/viewtopic.php ... 86#p269697
and it seems to work...
I believe SC should give us a working 64bit setup !
I had to reboot my pc on W32bit , install mod IV and copy all the files to the 64bit version ! I am exhausted !

Re: Mod IV install problem.
THe Modular exe. need not be used once it's installed in 32bit.
I have the correct sys. files for Tape Delay, and also have a patch that uses Bucket Brigade, short and Long Tapes, and even my fav from Flexor III as a huge Delay patch for external synths.
It's pretty cool using Solaris Ribbon controller to control the Tape Delay rate and hear artifact free increases/decreases as I slowly glide.
Even pull pull off the ELP song Barbarian where the entie group is slowed down by 2 inch Studer deck, according to the biography I've read.
But I can run prerecorded tracks into the Modular patch or use realtime + Ribbon.
It is is the only Delay on the market that does this.
UAD has an excellent sounding 224, but they obviously left out the realtime function as it probably requires lots of juice and system RAM which is a double/triple trip for a UAD card.
They must get code from M$, then send instructions through the rather long but fast Intel pipeline and pre fetching data area, then go to RAM, then back to the users controller, etc.
We don't suffer from that, but thier effect sounds so good in static moide, most indoor guys never modulate anything anyways. Their too busy with their toungues hanging out going " wow Man " .........." listen to that tail."........like Cheech and Chong or something..

Re: Mod IV install problem.
Slowing down a whole band could be done in Scope with a device on the output stereo bus that stores the audio stream and just plays it back at a decellerating speed. This would be like live-pause on cable TV with hard drive like Foxtel etc. Then you can fast forward until you 'catch up' with where the live transmission was at.

Merci to all !

Yes Dante, but I didn;t see a smiley thing, so I am assuming you are serious...?
No need for this, simply use the Tape Delay and for live use a SpaceF CCx2x so you can slam a pedal and let the curve smoothly change the rate, or you can use these little bitty knobs or a big fader and be effective, but less accurate....

yes, you are right. The installer does not work on 64 Bit.
64 Bit installation Modular IV:
If you are using Scope 64 Bit, please download the files from here:
ftp://sonic-core.net/software/scope5/pl ... ular%20IV/
Unpack the zip and copy the files in their:
ModularIV/Additionals -> C:\Program Files\SCOPE XITE\Additionals
ModularIV/Devices -> C:\Program Files\SCOPE XITE\Devices
ModularIV/Modular Modular -> C:\Program Files\SCOPE XITE\Modular Modules
ModularIV/Sys -> C:\Program Files\SCOPE XITE\App/Sys
Create a folder: //Devices/Modular4/Patches
Copy the patches Patches -> C:\Program Files\SCOPE XITE\Devices\Modular4\Patches
Dezip and copy the files over the existing installation.
We have also packed one demo patch and a manual. Please create a folder //Devices/Modular4/Patches
and copy the DeeKey.dev to it and the preset file in the Preset folder.
Important is the sys file for the delay. It has to be the version for 64 Bit.
Hope this helps,
Ralf
