Are you conscious that this solution would calm down lots of moaning about those 64 bit drivers long wait ?
Well.

No because the compatibility mode is for the softwares that can be run in a 64 bits environment but the drivers can't ...Micha wrote:maybe right click setup.exe -> properties -> compatibility tab -> Run this program in compatibilty mode for windows XP (SP3) ?
I have exactly the same config (win7 home premium) with dual boot one 32 and one 64, yet only the 32bits boot have the scope and it works fine in2617 version.siriusbliss wrote:I said I got it to work by installing it on 32-bit partition, while installing and running the other host apps., etc. on the 64-bit side (using W7 Ultimate).
This would obviously confirm that the drivers are still 32-bit.![]()
the most important thing is that we could have scope into a 64 bits config and the sequencer can use huge RAM ! if the software is in 32 that's not very bad, but the drivers yes - obviously !And like I also said - IMO I'm not sure what SC's plans are for Scope going fully 64, but as long as the 64-bit drivers eventually come, then I will be ready to switch over.
same hereMeanwhile current Scope 5.2617 runs great here, and music is still getting done.
I don't get it?? I am trying to follow steps and to understand but i can'tsiriusbliss wrote:Again, I'm not lying, so please stop the subtle accusations and 'fanboy' finger-pointing.![]()

Yes i am perfectly aware of that option. I know that i can see other partition. But once when you boot inside 64 bit os i know that you CAN see scope folder which is installed on partition with 32 bit OS installed but you CAN NOT use it. I mean you can if you have 64bit driver installed on 64 bit system - Booting on 64 bit os and running 64 bit OS demand 64 bit driver. That's why i asked how he got it running? I was thinking that i am missing something you guys know but i guess he just said it in the wrong way.t_tangent wrote:hi mpodrug,
If you set up Windows 7 Ultimate (also Win 7 Professional but not sure about the other version of Win 7) with a dual boot Win 7 32bit and Win 7 64 bit, you can still see the other partition in Windows Explorer whichever one you boot into. It just shows up as a different drive letter. For example if booting into Win 32 then C:\Win32, D:\Win64, or if booting into Win 64 then C:\Win64, D:\Win32
I may be incorrect but am assuming that what Sirius did, as he states in the post above, was boot up into Windows 32bit and install Scope drivers into that drive and then continue to install the rest of Scope to the 64bit drive, but whether he then runs Scope after booting into the Win32 or Win64 partition I dont know. Presumably he would have to boot into Win32 as the drivers would have been set that way but I havent tried it yet so cant confirm. Anyway, just my own supposition
Pity you don't apply this rule to your own posts.stardust wrote: Do SC a favor and dont claim knowledge you dont have and never had.
Well i am not child i just want to run Scope at 64 bit. So i was in belief that i missed something. IMO what you say above is impossible. Because if you are on 64bit os, you can install Scope on whatever partition you like 32 or 64 bit really it does not matter but you WILL need 64 bit driver to work with that. That is why i asked how did you do it? And if that worked for you why no one else can't do it? I mean i am not trying to prove anything. I am not seeing you as cheater or something. Really really that is not my intention. I am just trying to get scope at 64 bit OS.siriusbliss wrote:Come on guys....geez, sometimes I feel like I'm dealing with a bunch of children.![]()
I said that I simply TRIED installing Scope on a 32-bit partition on a W7 Ultimate 64-bit system that I've otherwise been running 64-bit apps., and eureka it worked. I didn't do any workarounds or funny stuff. I just installed it and it ran. That's all I know.

This is the post that started this "works in 64-bit" sub thread. Weasel words started after a few of us took the bait and tried to install it, and reported failure. Not to put too fine a point on it, the asshole lied. I don't know why someone who has been on this forum so long would, but clearly he did.siriusbliss wrote:You DO realize that as soon as you sell the Xite, the 64-bit drivers will arrive. :)
That's how it usually works out.
...and have you yet tried running Scope in W7 64-bit? It's working here. :D
