the Hosa box is just a level matching amp. it'll use the same ic as anything else. there's no conversion involved as the data is the same w/ sp/dif and aes/ebu...

ok, i think i'll go with the hosa or similar.

hmmm, can't find that hosa in europe? an import from the usa isn't the way to go, there's a 110V powersupply needed, arghh...

All of them are way too expensive. If Hosa(and any of them) is doing level matching only then price is hilarious. All parts in this box are about 15$ total where these I/O connectors are probably what is most expensive. Your next door friend/electrician can make one and it won't be anything worse or better then Hosa box.

Better to try that connector matching posted earlier. If it work it will work. Post result here.
