Unbelievable...........Someone I can agree with on tempos & meter changes.
Bruford's work with Crimson, Asia and Yes was so appreciated, only to be forgotten by the MTV video instant gratification crowd.
I always loved the 7/8 groove of Money by PFloyd. The Bass intro always got people up to dance, and then watching them fumble around because once you get up to dance you can't go back and sit down during the tune, you'd be announcing publicly your pathetic Math skills......

The seventies produced the most musical results i.m.o. beyond 4/4...Bill Bruford is one of my favorites ever on how he moves across tempos.

King Crimson was my favorite material of Bruford's (Three of a Perfect Pair to be exact) ...just because, by then, he had moved on to acoustic & electric percussion...mixing electronic drums & acoustic cymbals...(where have I seen THAT before ). Great band mates as well...Levin, Belew, Fripp...not to mention a great percentage of it NOT played in 4/4!!!

UK with Holdsworth and Jeff Berlin are my favorites.
KC is ok, but I just found them to be too bombastic after a while.
