Yep, but I've got that installed & the Scope file browser is having no problems reading our Akai CDs & I can drop programs from them into the STS sampler. This old version of the S1100 software just doesn't support reading .p or .s files.Zer wrote:Hm...wasn´t it so, that one is in need of a certain ASPI driver for Reading Akai Cds?Shroomz~> wrote:Don't waste your time Mehdi. I've been playing around with this S1100 plugin & it doesn't read Akai CDs. A virtual Akai sampler that doesn't read Akai CDs... what next.I bet their later versions of this plug read them, but I couldn't find a copy.

Please share your music when you finsh....

Re: Plugin that loads akai program
Can't you extract the CD to the harddrive and load from there anyway? I seem to recall that's what I did when fiddling with the STS series...(optical drive loading is annoying on a machine with multiple HD's).
Re: Plugin that loads akai program
I reverse engineered Akai disk and CD formats for S900 - S3200 some (15) years ago for data recovery purposes.
I may be able to extract the raw samples for you but not the programs.
I have a S3200XL, if you want to send the CD (to Australia) I'll see what I can do.
What do you want them converted to?
Eric.

Just remembered, I have an Atari program that reads them.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for the proposal!
But I have cd-Xtract 4, it is just not installed right now.
I will be able to manage the conversion without hassling you
But many thanks for the proposal..
It's just been so long without dealing with those that i forgot "my ways" (several years without akais, cds, or sample conversions...)
... memory recovery mode engaged...
Atari reading akai ?
that's impressive !
