Plugin that loads akai program
Plugin that loads akai program
IS there any freeware that is able to load plain akai programs ?
not the STS which can do it, but as VSTi
I just need to load a single akai program.
or do they need to be converted anyway ?
I 've looked and didn't find anything (they all need conversion).
It doesn't exist ?

Re: Plugin that loads akai program
There's some free akai program players for Scope. Are those no good to you?
Re: Plugin that loads akai program
not when my project is completely full..Shroomz~> wrote:There's some free akai program players for Scope. Are those no good to you?

it is for a online live project like foona's

cannot change project or load device without risking a lost sync...
otherwise i would have used them... now i just can't load nothing anymore even a simple eq...
Re: Plugin that loads akai program
nearly every NI Sampler should do it or try gigastudio if you still can get one

Re: Plugin that loads akai program
You could try S1100 sampler by signum which reads S1000 format akai programs. It's free...

Re: Plugin that loads akai program
seems to be down

Re: Plugin that loads akai program
- yep, seems to be down (not available anymore, i googled it, but no luck).. thanks for the help anyway..
- On NI , only kontakt imports multi format but i don't have it, battery doesn't do it neither (i have battery 2 only, and it can't import akai, at least, not from cd).
I don't have gigastudio.... neither :-/
I feel very weak on the sampler side these days... at least when it comes to loading old akai formats....

Re: Plugin that loads akai program
Do you not have a real hardware sampler anymore?
I'll search our systems here. I think we've got that S1100 sampler somewhere.

Re: Plugin that loads akai program
I still have the eps 16+ but it is unplugged right now and would load only ensoniq 1.44 MB floppies

Re: Plugin that loads akai program
I was sure we had that S1100 here, but it's not coming up in system searches, sorry Mehdi.
Re: Plugin that loads akai program

i guess i will have to convert to something and load it in whatever can load it....
thanks for the try

Re: Plugin that loads akai program
There's Paax which is free & loads Akai S5000 & S6000 format.
Shortcircuit free version also loads Akai format, but only S5000/6000/Z4/Z8 .akp again like Paax.
There's also Vsampler, but it's a 30 day free trial & costs 125 dollars.

Re: Plugin that loads akai program
There are converters as well.
Re: Plugin that loads akai program
thanks mark, i will try those...
yes there are converters too... (but i also wanted to check the cds without extracting the whole bunch of them...)..

Re: Plugin that loads akai program
Vsampler looks pretty good Mehdi, but for $125 I'd advise anyone to buy a real sampler. S3000 & S3000XL samplers are selling on ebay for as little as 80-100 euro these days. There's other nice hardware samplers that load Akai format as well, such as the Emu & Yamaha ranges. You can get the likes of the Yamaha A3000 which loads Akai as well as WAV formats or an Emu ESI-4000 for no more than 100 euro.
Btw, I think I've got that S1100 software sampler on a CD somewhere here. I'll have a look for it.

Re: Plugin that loads akai program
Which AKAI CD's are you trying to convert ?
Are they Sonic Reality ?
If so you can contact Sonic Reality and ask them about the conversion to Reason etc. that they use which I believe might be what you need.
Gigastudio doesn't work BTW, for that coversion you'll nedd ESC, or Translator Giga Edition.

Re: Plugin that loads akai program
Check the attached zip file Mehdi. It's an old beta release of signum's S1100 DX sampler which seems to work standalone. Haven't tried it in a VST host though. Not sure if you'll be able to load from your Akai CDs or not as I couldn't see any docs.

Don't waste your time Mehdi. I've been playing around with this S1100 plugin & it doesn't read Akai CDs. A virtual Akai sampler that doesn't read Akai CDs... what next.
I bet their later versions of this plug read them, but I couldn't find a copy.

Hm...wasn´t it so, that one is in need of a certain ASPI driver for Reading Akai Cds?Shroomz~> wrote:Don't waste your time Mehdi.
