Don't know that it's the best long term solution, but surely it's easier to just get the keys transferred from the srb to another card in the system than sending the card in to SC?? No ideas as to what might have gone wrong, but if the card's usable I'd probably just bite the bullet & get the keys transferred.

so, let me get this straight...

the card suddenly reports a different serial number to the software than is on the sticker on the card and the keyfile shows the serial on the sticker and not the serial reported by the software?

What about scoring out the number on the sticker & writing the other number underneath it?

Just to clarify.
The Pulsar2 i have for around a year shows a different letter in the software then on the sticker after importing the.reg but it works fine.

The srb i bought is the problem card.I tried to install it alone with sfp 4.5 installed and sfp asked for the keyfile then showed error 0001.The software wont see the keys at all and manually putting em in the scope.reg in app>bin didnt helped either

Sfp wont install at all when only the srb is in the computer.

I got an rna number and ralf was very quick with service. So i send it to sc monday.
Thanks for all the good tips i def. learned something about the cset.ine entries and other tricks.
Hope they dont charge that much to repair it :P
