Yeah, even I got sucked into the 'summing debate', but also wanted to emphasize the sound quality over the usual promotions of routing flexibility, great synths, 3rd party support, etc. etc.King of Snake wrote:sadly it seems to drift off into another summing quality debate with people going "I trust my ears more than math"![]()

It's also rather unneccesary to make snide comments about how VSTi is "hobbyist" and "crashes 2 times per project" (HifiBoom, I'm looking at you here). That just makes Scope users look like snobs. We all know very well that both options can be used perfectly well side by side and both have their strenghts and weaknesses.
again, I just don't get what the purpose of such statements is. Why this need to talk crap about VST (and it's users) all the time? Surely most people here (and most musicians period) use VST as part of their arsenal.hubird wrote:VST is for people who are lasy, don't have time, and don't hunt for quality and specialization.
There is only one thing worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.
Oscar Wilde.
I don't have my cards handy; what converters are used? The A16 Ultra uses the same AKMs as M-Audio's Audiophile 2496 cards - far from the best available, but good enough to get the job done. If I were strictly concerned with IO quality, then the Creamware offerings wouldn't be the first or last stops.<Shroomz> wrote:...the AD/DA converters on our Scope boards (which are great compared to certain other DSP based audio cards btw)...
