It's not like that hubird, seriously. Astro has openly admitted to baiting me several times on Z in the past, so I wouldn't put anything past him. Past comments like 'I knew you'd bite on that one', kinda tell a story of their own. But to be honest, I couldn't care less.

In actual fact, my own intentions here were to help Steffensen by clarifying the fact that he really should not need to upgrade his mobo to get the expected results from his 12 DSPs.

Results based on a specific config' speak for themselves, nothing more nothing less.

for your pleasure, here's the very personal and deeply offending post

over the years they've invested a few million Euros in this thing - if I were in charge I'd rather burn it than give public lessons

That's the spirit Tom. I'm affraid I'd expect you to say something just like this. Share no information tell nobody your secrets.
...We're bust, but we've burned our information & secrets so that nobody else can continue or improve upon our work (DSP audio system in this case) ...
I knew you'd bite the lure
yet you may have overlooked that what makes your Scope box is only one aspect of DSP audio

if home/semipro DAW turns out to become a non-profit business (let alone bitching customers who all seem experts in 'driver' writing how-to), there's still the OEM market and custom solutions.
there might be a cat in the bag...

cheers, Tom

note the paragraph starting with 'that's the spirit, Tom...'
and strangely noone asked for the cat either
But to be honest, I couldn't care less.
yes, I see

this was already implied in my original answer '...you probably wouldn't want to make it a reverb box anyway...'

The hint about the STW reverbs obviously was understood as intended, something to consider in the future, either when a new system may apply - or related to a defined case (multiple instances of A(!)100, I100, P100 and CD100).

Since those reverbs don't 'overlap' as would Masterverbs, several instances aren't pure speculation.

Btw who's telling that you can acutally use(!) all your benchmark verbs ?
The Masterverb Test is about how many can be loaded with nothing else happening.
How about running a sequencer, loading samples, writing tracks simultaneously ?
Of course we're all smart and perfectly aware of our systems limits

cheers, Tom

Legros, you gave my minds eye a picture of the gay biker bar in the old Police Academy Hollywood film. What was it called? The blue lagoon or something? Anyway, all the gay bikers had moustaches
