Hi Betman
Basically I use the pulsar as a mixing/synths/FX box. I have 3 pulsar I's in there (CUSL2-c, 256mb RAM, Matrox G400) which are connected to my other computer over 2 lightpipes (giving me 16i/o) and 2x midi ins.
On the other computer (Abit BE6-II, 256MB RAM, Creative TNT2 Ultra - this computer is temporary and is going to get upgraded as soon as I have some $$$ again) is an RME Hammerfall LE (2xlightpipes=16i/o), a Roland SMPU64 Midi Interface (4x midi i/o), an SBlive (for general internet and sound editor use) and the machine runs Logic Audio 4.61. It's the only sequencer I will use. And I've used all of them.
I should also add that I have a Fostex VC-8 also connected to the Pulsar, giving me 8 analog i/o. I use this to connect my Nord Micro Modular and also the cheap analog output of the SB-live (to all those freaks who are slaving the Pulsar to the SBlive via SPDIF : stop smokin all that crack!). Pulsar is clock master to all devices. It's a very nice system that will enable me to add an Emu e-6400 ultra with ADAT i/o card, and (I'm drooling now) a Kurzweil KSP8 FX box, also with ADAT i/o...
That's it. Very simple, pretty cheap (hmm, maybe not after all the motherboard upgrades

peace,
budz
