Better define successful..... I'm happily flaky. I'd consider that successful.

Pruned some flakiness off the tree in the last 10 years - it is a good idea.

The assignment? "Fire your flaky friends." They take your time, sap your energy and pull you down. Call them, write them, or tell them you cannot be friends with them any longer until they demonstrate they are not lazy or flaky. And you will be more likely to succeed. (Good news: your friends can re-apply for your friendship according to Levine once they’ve proven they are no longer flaky.)
Oneself having no such faults of course. To be that self-obsessed doesn't particularly interest me, really.
