Hopefully you only do things like this once, then realize not to do it again if it crashes your machine

Sorry to contradict you, my man, but if you had gotten your hands on the real things, Mini-Moogs, Pro-Ones, Prophet 5s, AKS Synthys even(!), and got to learn how to use them hands on, you wouldn't be so keen on the emulations.
