I can't help you really, but what sample rate settings do you use?

it may supply some comfort that Google (de) lists your question (this very thread) as #1 when entering 'cubase systemlink'

you probably got the importance of this site right...

anyway, aside from the fact that it's a very special setup you have - I personally doubt that systemlink is an easygoing and reliable thing at all. But that's really (and only !) my subjective point of view - and not even based on any hands-on experience.

Imho it's a total kludge with not even a convincing concept (opposed to MLAN for example), in the first place intended to sell additional licenses.

I vaguely remember some folks here had some experiences in that context, but definetely not in coop with a Motu. If such a complex setup fails (which I'd expect anyway) it can have a dozen different reasons - difficult to debug from remote with the information you provide.
If it's worth the effort at all is probably the main question.

How important is it for your workflow ?
If it's just about ' but I can make use of a few extra cycles my CPU may have left' then it's really not worth to even consider.
For the simple fact that it's an aweful lot of work that could be invested in something creative instead of an obscure possibility

If you have a certain setup in mind that crucial for your work and depends on distributed processing, then it's of course a different story...

Many SFP users prefer the SFP synths and FX over VSTi stuff, which may also be a reason for not 'such a' big resonance.
That doesn't mean they ignore or dislike VSTis - it's just that those are not the core part of the system.

cheers, Tom

This is more of a question for the Cubase forums. If the ADAT connection between the Pulsar and MOTU works, I don't think there's much Pulsar-specific stuff involved in system link.

Most of the systems I've seen 'in the wild' that successfully used Systemlink used RME HDSP cards on both ends (with no gain changes in totalmix).
