When people get solemn and serious the human spirit is lost to fear and becomes impaired and bound by dogma which has always been an instrument of religious an worldly rulers to control masses, as far as John Paul II goes, he will have to talk to his Maker to see where he has gone right and where he has gone wrong. It is up to us here how we treat each other- either with respect and understanding(even when we don't agree) or try to silence what we don't like and glorify what we feel dear to us. What Christians(i mean sincere believers who lead religious lives and honestly trust their live in the hands of God) should do anyway is try to follow words from the Bible, judge not or you shall be jugded and who holds the sword will die by the sword and Love your fellow human beings etc... nuff said

O.K.
1 Why is it that where the 'faith ' is the strongest that is also where there is the most poverty ,misery ,heartbreak ,venality .
why is it that where relatively enlightened education is the strongest that that is where there is the most respect for others right to live a free life ,without fearing for the god thugs to come in the night . As far as polands freedom to make a choice is concerned I was always of the opinion, actually being a walking talking adult at that time, that lech ? walensa? and solidarity had something to do with that and old john paul came along later. Now I'm 57 and I can remember the time when the protestant church and the catholic church began to lose their power to influence enlightened society and let me tell you boys it was a lot better ..a whole lot better after they got the flick .
Rather than weeping tears for the pope it's a pity that all good christians aren't weeping for the Italian judiciary and beaurocracy members assasinated for trying to make things fairer for people like us .So basically I'm not interested in being told what I can and cant say on an ot topic in a sound card forum .I'm getting enough of the god wallopers on the friggin news and I'm with anyone who says ,I'm sure with respect for the rights of others to have an opinion no matter how wrong they may be , to shove it right where you know and quite frankly if they want to write back and say up yours too thats their right and I can dig it . I agree with the guy who said thank god thats over ..maybe some peace for the old bloke at last whether he deserves it or not

Okay,

So much chat about nothing. Time to start an atheist thread.
