Hi Pulsar geeks

I'm new to this forum. I didn't found a solution to my problem yet (searched already;) and hope someone can solve this:

I use Pulsar 1 mainly as a play device, not to produce really (only playing around with funny techi stuff).

- I am able to play a DD/DTS bitstream through the "digital wave source" digital out ("green connection") -> "digital wave dest.", so my toslink cabled receiver can decode the 5.1 channels.
- I am able to play PCM from lets say "Wave Source 1" through the "Digital Wave dest." with the left/right audio connector.

BUT

- I can't connect both, digital in and "audio" in on the "digital wave dest." inputs. Either one will be mute if both connected.

My point is, I want to have PowerDVD (Dolby bitstream) AND Winamp connected to the "digital wave dest." _simultanously_, without manually changing connections in the project window. I just want to have my amp doing all the a/d converting and have everything wired with just one digi-connection.

Any help out there?
THX

welcome Marco,

it's normally used for audio connections, but probably spacef's 'sf-switch-4s' switches digital signals as well

Thanks but I dont think it does what i want. And if so, I would have to manually select the input.

cheers

I have no idea if this will work or not and my audio machine is undergoing reconstruction, but couldn't you just set all your windows devices to operate using the Digital Wave out? I don't see any reason why WinAmp would have problems using the driver... and both PowerDVD and WinAmp have volume controls which operate independantly of the Windows System Mixer.

Just a thought, and since I'm really interested in a similar setup I'd love a yea or nay on it.

Thx for all input. I can use every source to use the digital wave out.
BUT you can't connect stereo AND digital sources at the same time to the digital wave out device. Just try it, one connection will be muted.
