Hello!

I am at the moment in the process of rebuilding my DAW from scratch. 60% if the work is already done and I have found out that the problems I was experiencing with SX have all gone!
I have installed XP in "standard pc" mode and I cant remember how to make my PC turn off automatically instead of showing me the "It is now safe to turn off your PC" screen. I used to know that! (bad memory!) What do I have to do?

Thank you!

Install "APM". I think it's under system devices.

Wow, man! I don't have APM. There are Power Schemes then Advanced then Hibernate and UPS.

I am using that same OS. It's there. If not maybe as there are two standard mode one as straight Standard PC and the other as Standard PC with something like 486. You can also choose the one with the 486. I was using Standard PC and had the said APM box checked and my PC kept rebooting. It has to be there. Keep looking. I am now using the one with the 486 and it's rock solid.
