I got a major problem which I need to get solved before I go mad. Just bought a new system and it worked fine for some days but then......... it started turning it self off suddenly - without any warning -dead. Power led on my rack chassis was still on, but HD, fans etc were dead. Suddenly it wanted to turn itself on again - so it did. Litteraly lived its own life. The problem occured more and more rapidly and in the end XP crashed ofcourse. Couldnt take the constant on and offs. After repairing XP the computer worked fine - for a couple of days atleast, then it started again. What could it be? Any ideas?? HELP

Specs:
-ASUS P4PE motherboard
-Matrox G550 Graphic card in AGP slot
-Pulsar II in PCI5 slot (shares with empty PCI slot 1 - so it shoud be the best slot - right???)
-A16 ultra connected with firewire to Pulsar
- DVD burner
-HD: 2 x 120GB seagate Barracuda V S-ATA in RAID-1 modus.
Power supply: 450W
-RAM: 1GB
-OS: XP (tuned but problems also occured when untuned)

Did you disable all power saveing options? If yes, seems to be a malfunctioning chip in the powermanagement of the mobo.
