old devices

When I put in the "old" device sampler-z or another midi device into
a sfp project, I have signal in cubase but no
sound. With a new device there is signal and sound. The settings are correct, what should I do? Tanx in advance!

Strange. Check carefully the MIDI channel. Does the MIDI lamp work (Modular1 etc.)?
Sometimes my old devices like Mod1 are adjusted to MIDI channel 2 or 3, I don't know why.

Does it happen with all old devices? There's some that are known not to be compatible with SFP, but these are exceptions.

If you work from the Livebar, make sure to manually connect 2.04 devices. The auto-connect feature is not enabled for those.

Are you getting any error when you load the mute device?

Atomic, what do you mean by mute devices, d-mute devices? I made the connections manually and the livebar settings are ok.
Nothing's changed.
