I did a search on the net and could not find any infomation about, when this new PCI-X standard is supposed to be released.
Does any of you know?

PCI-X - When is it expected?
If it ever comes. PCI-Express is already on the horizon and as pci-x is not yet taking of, it may never happen and be directly overtaken by pci-express.
Anyway, do you expect creamware to use it when they could already have used 64/66 pci on the first pulsar? That said, there isn't a single sound card using anything over 32/33.

Hey, thanks for answering!
PCI-Express.... never heart of it, I'll have to check up on it.
One could speculate that the reason why they havn't introduced a new card yet, is because they want to make sure which PCI-standard to build/finish the card on.
But the question was also because I am thinking about upgrading my pc, but I can wait a few months more, if necasary.
Cheers!

Maniac: no, we use everything 32/33 can offer. 64/66 uses different connector but is backward compatible. 64/66 was known when pulsar arrived, but motherboards were sparse.
Petal: it will take more than a few months before pci-express arrives. Some boards have pci-x, but not mainstream, look for server boards.
Kimgr: do they? Honestly never taken a look at it. To expensive and more mac oriented for me. But it is only logical to do so.
