I think a lot of people are confused right now . . .

all this 'second resolution' stuff seems a bit misguided to me. If you want to save the Iraqi people (probably not such a bad idea if it would actually work) then 1441 is irrelevant. It is a call for Iraq to disarm its weapons, and we all know you don't need very many weapons to torture people (isn't the whole point that their torture methods are 'dark aged' ! ? )

The whole idea of disarming Iraq also seems a bit misguided. If you're worried about WMDs getting into terrorists hands, Russia seems a far likelier bet. Anarchy, corruption, a vast arsenal of nasty things, total disillusionment with the 'freedom' of capitalism.

Its all just a bit depressing really. Really. The whole paper today was dedicated to talk of it - but it all just seemed either misguided or DARK. The 'blitzkrieg' that we would rain down on 'Saddam' (sure he won't be getting much of it ! ), daisycutters, apaches, cruise missiles, B1 stealth bombers, B52s, tornados, hornets, why not locusts too ?

Oh fuck it . . . its just the end really

I'm a big fan of the "Alien" series of movies. And in Aliens one of the Space Marine "grunts" makes a suggestion about how to deal with their problems. His advice is appropriate in so many situations:

"I say we nuke the site from orbit - it's the only way to be sure."

Edit: This is humour

Few days ago I saw a T.V. broadcast about the guy who builds many of the shelters for the head of states guys.
A friend from him build one in Iraq.

He tells that nothing can destroy the shelter in Iraq because you don´t know the mixture of the used cement. No weapon can drill so deep into that shelter and detonate inside.
Saddams weapons (I guess the older ones) will be sheltered in very old culture sights and locations,so this locations will be destroyed soon.
After few weeks of bombing Iraq Sadam will walk out of his shelter, watch his destroyed land and shouts hey USA and Europe the best start to build up Iraq would be my palace, where should I rest ?

Its all a lie with a high cost.

Is That "ALL" that is quite disturbing. And the fact that those who supported and shaked Saddam's hand in the past will never be among them.

Maybe we could insist that all posts must be in limmerick form ?

Bush was enraged at Twin Towers,
He said "I must use my war powers",
"My Dad did OK, but without boasting I say",
"I can do better than one hundred hours."

Cowboys with their six shooters... it must be something they eat down south that make them want to shoot guns and chase people. Or well.. Bush in particular. (no offense to anyone else from the south)

sorry.my wife's a texan and i can tell you that any texas drawl in an educated person for effect.does govenorship make jeb a native floridian?check the meaning of the name "govenor". in the days following the civil war, such people(profiteers)were called "carpetbaggers",a name stemming from the fact that many of these rascals came to town with nothing more than big words and their suitcases but soon owned everything because of their "yankee" connects.i am not a confederate, but yale and connecticut are as yankee as you can get.

aw shucks y'all,i don't reckon i know what's up bein' such a good ol' boy heeyuck.the real elite families have ties across ALL political, religious, ethnic and national borders and styles.InI humans are but cattle to be managed and manipulated to such minds.

and so it goes....

also, freed slaves even when rich are still slaves.and no matter how rich, jews are not free.technically, they are still the property of the pope.

 o.k.
it doesn't matter anyway.just like he was a pilot.... the man amuses me except when he looks at me.........

and i am arguementative....i like to argue to see better.iron sharpen iron.arguing is not fighting(ask john cleese),it is an exchange of ideas for and against.in this case, there is nothing to win and this is no forum for discerning the truth of mr. bush's loyalties.i come here for sfp, computers and music, so peace to you and good life and health.

no doubt texas has had it's effect on the man,all i say is that his behaviors make more sense if you look a little deeper into his past than texas as he is a product of his family first and his boyhood street second.as the song sez "the first cut is the deepest.both native americans and the bible suggest looking at a minimum of seven generations in any human situation...

but as i said b4,it really doesn't matter what we say when people are starving or bleeding, etc.i don't want john to have a heart attack when he sees all this controversy so i'll be quiet now.(sorta)

It's not that I'm over-sensitive. On previous occasions, I was forced to intervene after receiving many complaints from forum users about inappropriate/offensive behavior.

I haven't received any complaints from upset users this time, so I guess you guys are doing ok. I honestly haven't had time to read any of this -- I just happened to notice my name mentioned here.

In any case, you're right that I'm distracted! Please self-moderate, indefinitely!

Thanks
