I don't really know how to explain what it is I want to do, but I'll try:

Is there a way inside the modular2 to have a "module unit" that has an audio/signal input and output which is enabled by a constant signal input (either modulation or gate). Eg, audio in to the input, and whenever a signal hits the trigger, audio can pass through it - the moment the signal is stopped, audio can't pass. It would be nice to have a switch(-/+) on it that would enable it to respond to all signals on, or all signals off, like a "latch" function. I hope that makes sense.

I know that J9K made a fantastic comparitor module, but that doesn't quite to what I'm after (however it plays a key role in something I want to do). Any of the modular gurus out there can help me?

Thanks!

you could probably do that with an envelope follower the comparator and a 4quadmult mdl.
