what is multy timbral ?
multitimbral means the synth generates several sounds parallel while receiving on different midi channels.
Like having multiple preset patches at once active.
Not to be messed with polyphony = the same patch receives several notes.
It's most important for external hardware. With software like the SFP synths you simply add another one (often called 'instance') to your setup and let it receive on a different midi channel - voilà you've made it (effectively) multitimbral
