I've just upgraded to sfp3.1c, and as is always the case with upgrades, I now wish that I'd stayed with 3.01!!

I use a USB midi controller, which is mapped through Cubase then the output sent to the creamware midi in 1(the sequencer midi out module). It was working fine, but now I can't get a signal from the seqeuncer midi source module in pulsar. Cubase shows me that there's an input and output midi signal, so it's not cubase. I've spent a few hours on the midi monitor helplessly pressing keys on my midi controller, but no luck as yet.

I connected my stage piano(hardware connection)directly into the pulsar midi in, and that works ok, but there seems to be some problem from cubase to pulsar, or I've deactivated some important setting.

Any help greatly appreciated.(I'm off to download the latest drivers for the usb controller, and see if that helps!)

You didn't say if you were on PC or Mac. It's important as there are different driver handling in both platforms.

If you are on a Mac you should prepare a new OMS setup because the 3.1c midi driver is different from the previous one. Both in OMS and in Cubase there should be 'play in background' enabled.

Additionaly no matter what platform - pay attention if all the midi inputs are active in Cubase (options/midi setup/inputs)

problem sorted, just me being incompetent. Turns out that the cubase output wasn't set to pulsar midi in on the actual midi tracks.

Now I've got a new problem, can't seem to get the akai cd's to work anymore. It was fine before upgrade....
