I'm aware of the power supply thing and the Fan but is there any differences in the AD/DA department? Any reliability issues? Anything else I should be aware of?

mainly that the original A16 is 18 bit 44 and 48Khz sample rate with lightpipes 16 in and out and a wordclock and sounds quite nice. The new version is 24 bit up to 96khz with the lightpipes but added z-link that can transfer all the channels at 96 khz to your Pulsar... It also has metering but the old one only has one light for overload on the channels.

do you know the brand of converters of the old A16 ? I haven't been able to figure it out.
