Helluw y'all. Desperately asking the following.

I have Reason slaved on Nuendo, Nuendo giving the audio to SFP via ASIO. Somehow, Nuendo doesn't react on midi-signals. I connected my Pulsar midi-source to Seqencer midi in. When I stroke a key on my midi-keyboard.. nothing happens. Reason recieves the midi-signal just fine, though. How do I make clear to SFP that Nuendo is also the sequencer, besides Reason? All midi-settings in Nuendo are just fine so I really think it's a SFP problem.

Thanx so much in advance.

Manoah.

Well, i think it is a Nuendo problem in fact... There is no way in SFP to tell what software is gonna use the midi port...

So, make sure in nuendo that your port are visible first... Start SFP first, then nuendo, try the midi... It should work..

I guess you started reason first, which took hold of your midi port before nuendo...

Hi,

I am having similar problems with midi, but in logic. This strated since last week. I upgraded my computer with the following:
- Asus P4PE serial ata
- P4 2,6 Ghz
- DDR RAM 512 MB

I am using XP Pro (incl service pack 1), SFP 3.1c, logic Platinum 5.

It all worked wellin the old configuration (Intel Dg50 motherboard, P4 1,7 ghz, RDRAM Samsung ECC 512 MB).

Now every time when I start logic (first SFP)then it shows the message no midi device found, no midi driver installed?

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Really tried every thing (audio is disabled in bios)

Who can help me.

Have you got all seq source and destination in your SFP project?

you don't have to do any special project in sfp for useing your sequencer with reason!
just be sure:

1. you have sfp project wih asio in background.
2. you have activated revire chanels in sequencer before you run reason!
so, first you must run sfp than seq than reason.
3. in reason's preferences you must set midi port to no midi input!
