I'd like to upgrade my Luna 2 to Pulsar 2, does anyone now if this is still possible, bacause on the site I see it was possible until the end of last year, so now I don't know for sure if it's still possible.

Well - I remember that Creamware advertised on their homepage, that the special upgrade-offer only lasted untill 31. of december 2002. But maybe, if you ask around, certain musicdealers has the upgradeoffer "on stock".

Otherwise, you will just have to wait for that brand new Creamware soundcard with much more powerful DSP's onboard, which I don't think is that far away now.

Cheers!

Hi
I tried to get details from the UK distributor just before and after Christmas but they were closed until 2nd January. They then told me I was too late. Perhaps Creamware should have put Dec 24th as the closing date of the offer not 31st.
It's just typical of them.
Cheers

Will I be able to upgrade my Luna to 'that brand new Creamware soundcard with much more powerful DSP's onboard' then in future?

Which new card are you talking about anyway?

we're staring at the bottom of our coffee mugs and make our own rumors  because Creamware is dead silent about the issue.

in fact it's easy: last Frankfurt music fair CW 'boss' Frank Hund got asked about competion with native processing on 2-3 GHZ CPUs.
answer: people overlook that DSPs also multiply their performance from time to time.

The DSP manufacturer (Analog Devices) just finished developement of a couple of those chips.

CW tries to sell as much hardware as possibly with lots of special offers.
That's common practise when new stuff is ready.

But it's all pure speculation, just for fun

cheers, Tom
