As Creamware is working on a new release (4.0) which will be presented on the next Musikmesse in Frankfurt, we should use this forum to create a wishlist for XTC-Users.

Please add every idea or desire to this topic. I am sure that Creamware is regularly checking this forum and will find your suggestions. I will also open the same threat on Creamware's forum.

XTC rocks!

. SFP routing window available as an XTC device

. a way to run ANY SFP device in XTC mode

. save device settings like any VST effect - most of the time my VINCO devices (example) are back to defaults each time a project is loaded - annoying!

. Sometimes a device (example VINCO) is replaced by a duplication of the previous insert (bug find maybe?) when a project is loaded. If I have a VSTdynamics as INS1 and a VINCO as INS2, most times I load up and both INS1+INS2 are VSTdynamics... while VINCO disappears grr!

. only one instance of each device should be installed on the system. Need to find a way to avoid the VST .dll files AND classic SFP device files - to the extend of what can be achieved technically

. enable flawless Audio Mixdown (non realtime, etc)

. make sure there is no need to "tweak" the config files so the latency and other settings actually work. Right now the panels don't always show the real status and many many people think their XTC is set to 3 or 7 ms when it really runs three times slower... until you tweak some obscure config files by hand

. continure the good work, you have fans!

- if I want to change a bank and program of a xtc-synth it turns out to be very complicated with sysex-messages (cubase sx) because cubase doesn't recognize the xtc-synth-program-change-procedure. in Pulsar-mode it runs very smoothly!!!!

- For XTC mode - how about making it work with both VST and DXi interfaces (I heard Creamware may be looking into this possibility - it would be nice for those who use Sonar).

- This is not for XTC mode - but how about integrating into the SFP environment a device that allows you to load third-party VST/DXi synths and effects. That way you can integrate VST/DXi without a separate host application running.

I'd wish for a working xtc mode. (downmix, latency, etc. fixed) and I'd like it way before version 4. I think 3.1 *working* should be priority #1....

Well that would be nice, but also very impossible.
It is logical that plugins which run on an Intel processor, just don't run on the SHARCs. But IF it would be possible, then CW should also do something similar for AudioUnits I guess.

Maybe XTC ( matured / bug free ) for the Mac would be nice. I use a PC, but maybe then I might buy a Macintosh.

So the MusicMesse was in March...looking at the Creamware home page, I don't see any announcements about a version upgrade. Anyone know anything about their plans? I'm still (more than) interested to know whether there are going to be any improvements to XTC.

Simple - can I have a XTX project that I load and it works with SX. I didn't spend a day friggin around to get my UAD card to get it working!

CW should do everything possible to facilitate developers making their devices XTC compatible.

Probably the main reason I rarely use XTC is that half my devices simply won't be available.
