As you know Creamware has 4 special offers this month, one for every week of december.
The last offer is the SPL Transient Designer, starting at 23-12 and ending at 29-12-02.
As I decided to buy that Transient Designer coz I need it now, I wrote CW shop an email, asking them if I could buy the TD now already for the special price of the coming offer.

Well, the (friendly and fast) answer was that the 'data bank' can handle just one price pro product at a time.
So the answer was no.

Just to let you know.

I must be from a strange neighborhood. My TD's collecting digital dust! I wished there was a way hubird could just "borrow" my TD.. hehe.

Hi Ken,

As I'm thinking of buying the TD, I would like to know why you hardly use it anymore. Can you achieve similar results with a compressor, or do you think there's a flaw in the device?

Thanks in advance,
Vincent

Hi Ken,
maybe it´s possible to to "borrow" the TD to him. You can sell him your TD and for the money you get you´ll buy it from CW! Not really meant serious, but possible.

I'm afraid I will fall in love with it, Marcus, I can hardly wait.

thanks Ken for your gentle thought, hehe!
I'll have to do the job now with the Dominion.

Fisilia, it's not a compressor, you better could say it's a DE-compressor, specially meant to make the first attack moments (transients) louder.
But indeed, you can also flatten the attacks, but that doesn't really make it a compressor.
A compressor brings things in front of the mix, while an attack flattening or sustain emphasising TD puts things to the back.

Freefly, you mean Ken could buy than another thingy from CW? Otherwise I don't get it.
Anyway, I go for a new one, I don't like digital dust, hehe.

If you are using Logic Audio you can achieve the same results with the enveloper as with the SPL Transient

No way... I have compared them extensively, and envelopper is not half as precise and fast....It does NOT sound the same at all, and can't support much gain before clipping...And it is not real time either...

Even the dominion is better than the envelopper in Logic... Compare them, you'll be amazed by the enormous difference in sonic qualities...
