Hello, I think this has been discussed earlier, but I cannot find it anywhere:

(PC) How do I get access to the Pulsar1-hardware (dsps) in the Luna 2.5-Software. The Pulsar-software appears to be registered, but not the hardware. So only 3 dsps and no Pulsar-I/Os are showing up in the Registry/Samplerate-menus. (In Pulsar2.04a-Software everything is allright.) Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Michael

copy the registration files form your cset.ini [pc] file in pulsar to the same file in luna. back 'em up first. BTW, what would you want to use the luna OS for?

The cset.ini ARE identical in Pulsar and Luna, but still I only get 3 dsps. As I understand the cset.ini refers to the software-registration only (or where is the specific hardware-key???)

To your question: I find the luna2.5-software just more convenient.

It might be a stupid question, but:
You have connected the two boards with a S/TDM cable, right ?
Can you see both cards from the Pulsar software ?
And did you install Luna 2.5 AFTER you installed the Pulsar software, and updated the drivers from the Luna\driver\ directory ?

Yes to your questions, beside:

the drivers in the luna/drivers and the pulsar/drivers directories are identical. so it appears to me, that the software has changed, but not the hardware drivers????
Am I wrong?

Hi, I've just buyed a Pulsar1+ and I already have a Luna 2.

My problem is that I didn't get the STDM cable, and wont received it before 3-4 weeks. So until then, can I use my 2 card in the same PC at the same time? Even if all the DSPs aren't available, cuz my STS3000 and Modular2 are registered for Luna and my synth and effects are in Pulsar.

And also, is I cannot use both card at the same times, can I at least use the devices and modules of luna in pulsar? Or something equivalent ?

Thank a lot.

You'll never "see" Pulsar hardware inside the Luna software. Luna software is a mere subset of Pulsar software, so you simply don't use Luna software if you're running Pulsar. Instead, you run Pulsar OS, and just load the Luna devices inside, I would suggest you don't even install the Luna OS if you have a Pulsar, just use the Luna devices.

You should be able to just load the devices, they'll ask for your auth code, type it in, that's it...

Algorythm, messing with .INI and .RGY files by hand I would say is a last resort, I've never had to mess with them to get things working before, actually, although I have messed with them before I discovered how to change resolutions via the drag-n-drop interface in Pulsar...

And how you'd do that? I mean, changing the resolution with the drag'n drop pulsar interface ?

Just curious...

I don't have Pulsar in front of me, but it's something like View / Settings, the same dialog where you can set Sample/Device paths, etc. There should be a mini-representation of the Pulsar environment on that dialog. Select the corner of the environment, and stretch it to fill the screen of the representation, that's it!

It's not immediately obvious, I must confess... I had been annoyingly editing the cset.ini... but you really don't need to for any reason that I've found so far (like I said, it should be only the last resort).
