Hi,

A while ago I saw Dr. Walker's forum and he organises theme weekends, I think in April there's a Modular weekend, he invites modular users (using Reaktor, CW, Nordmodular and analog machines) to join for a weekend and book in a hotel they've agreed on. Everybody brings is invited to bring his modular system. In the hotal, there's a couple of theme rooms where the material is set up.

Wouldn't it be cool to have a meeting of z people, let's say next summer? That's well on time, as everybody has options open for the summer.

Creamware is a very open platform, many of us use it in a specific way. Having together a bunch of Pulsarians, like here on z, all with different skills, that could be some learning school!!

Any thoughts?

If you can't bring gear it's not a problem, users from the continent where it eventually could happen can bring their gear. Within Europe, I'd go by car and take most of the stuff.

Travelling transcontinental, by plane, I would not take gear either. I'd never ship my system by plane unless I were moving
Still, plane tickets are quite cheap nowadays and we could make it a real planet meeting.

Just dreaming about:

We could build a great building together, with the form of a Pulsar II card. The sharks would be in a perfect ordered disposition. First of all divided into six big rooms. Five of them divided into 20 rooms, so 4 rooms per shark, with nice beds and an Internet connection to listen to some music while we are in. The six one would be the performance and music one, there we would have a HUGE computer, always last generation CPUs Ram, etc., and everybody would have the right to play their music and present their performance. The adat converters would be beer containers! How would you like a place like this?

I'm glad many are interested

Although there's many CW users in Northern Europe and the Netherlands, southern Europe (Spain/Italy/Portugal/France?) would be a nice: not-too-far-yet-doable for us to take our gear and it's a perfect holliday aera too.

I would not mind going to Canada or USA either, then americans have to provide gear.

Let's see who else is interested, please say what you think, just throw it out for now. For example think of a reasonable place and a motivation for it, as I did above.

Then later, before newyear or so, we can collect thoughts and organise them to something usefull.

Keep 'em idea's coming, try not to go far OT, please. This could become a long exhausting thread, at least I hope

'Vakantie' is dutch/flemmisch for holliday, vacation has same meaning according to dictionary.com, although it's not commonly used AFAIK.

[edit]Here's what Strong Bad says about vacation:
