dunno, the production sounds fine to me. Great ambience. The voice seems a little out of context though.. to me, when someone sings to a tune of great ambience (very visual sounding), it all starts to sound like a musical. That's just my opinion though.

A bit wet on the reverbs maybe. The bass zone could use a bit more definition. But the overall sounds very cool. I think you have clearly stated your point.

I enjoyed it. Reminded me of John Cale - sorry to compare, but that just popped straight into my head. The sort of passionate meets dispassionate delivery that Cale was well known for.
No point in commenting on your mix as you already seem to have your own opinion on that.
Anyway, very interesting stuff

very nice!
If you don't mind some remarks
1. I would place the voice (Nick Cave associations I have  ) more in front of the mix.
2. More differentiation in reverb (and a bit less) would give more impact.
At least you could try keeping the voice rather dry, is more dramatically I think
3. I would use a better defined or less reverberated kick, now he's almost gone completely, you will get a better cadence than.
Just my opinion!
