Hi again,
In anticipation of the release of my new devices, I have updated the "wavelength devices" website:
http://www.track0.com/wavelength/
Check it out and see what you think. I'm still working really hard to get my new products finished and after I've released them I will entertain requests to have some of my old devices updated.
Cheers,
Stephen

I noticed, page one is about 360kB, wich will take more than a minute to load on 56k modem - but then again, if someone goes to your site, they should expect some data waiting for transfer
Maybe reconsidder using a higher resolution for the site? It is my believ, that most people today surf at 1024*768 or higher. Maybe I am wrong, but it does get a bit small, if you look at it in 1280*960 and above.

Information for new readers: A forum member named Braincell is known for spreading lies and malicious information without even knowing the basics of, what he is talking about. If noone responds to him, it is because he is ignored.

I used to be very sensitive about such things until I got my ADSL - I'd just cancel if it didn't come up in 10 seconds . . . now I don't even notice.
I see that the three graphic elements from the top are 20K, 56K and 48K - way too big. They do need optimising. Should be possible to get them down to a total of about 25K.

Hello Stephen
I like the colours you have chosen for your new web, it makes it to stand out of the big mass of over-used colours most sites seems to have, some sobriety nowadays it’s something everybody appreciates. Lovely script-art too for your titles and subtitles; no doubt, there’s a nice overall feeling in there.

nice site Stephen - I'm pleased to read you're coming up with something new
A single wish for your current devices would be the ability to control several items by one midi controller (aftertouch) the way it's done on the lightwave. The feature has become real important for me since it allows to use the elcheapo Casio horn in a rather impressive way.
Keep up your great work !
cheers, Tom

Hey Stephen how are things?
Nice clean site! great devices as always!

Okie let's see if I can find some good constructive things to help you:
The main thing I would change is the navigation font to increase readability. I suggest a nice Lowercase Century Gothic or even Uppercase Arial, white text on black or dark grey, or black text on white.
The extra line which says "navigator >>>" might not be needed, if users understand where your menu is right away.
The menu could be moved right under the title graphic to be easier to find (users generally scroll all the way up after they read a page to click on another section).
I would also consider cropping the section graphic (like the INFO on the frontpage) to be 50 or 100 pixels high so the user can see some contents without having to scroll each time.
On the frontpage, there is a small GIF animation which weighs 160Kb.. This animation could be done in Flash for 5Kb or so, or even as a couple of GIF frames (no transition though) for 2Kb or so.
The text "track0.com/wavelength <<< " at the top of each page looks like a "breadcrumb". As this doesn't link anywhere, you could remove it and save 50 pixels on your vertical screen real-estate. If you wanted to make this a link to the frontpage, I suggest that you make the top image (the one saying "WAVELENGHT") clickable to reach the home page instead.
The section "SHARE" sounds like a place where users can upload their devices and "share" them with the other visitors. You could call this section "GIFTS" or "FREEBIES" to make it more obvious that users can download free stuff in this section.
I hope you will find my input useful. I do this stuff all day at work, and know how helpful someone else's view on a project can be.
Good job! Good luck with everything.
