i'm running luna sfp3.1c and cubase sx on windows xp.

i have a project with my luna midi a source directly connected to sequencer midi dest.

i can see midi signals in the luna midi monitor but nothing in cubase. in device setup i have the creamware midi in/out 1 selected as my midi port, and also in the midi track. but i don't recieve any midi signal from my controller.

can anyone help me? i'm losing lots of sleep because i've been troubleshooting this for the last 2 weeks!

i'll be happy to provide more information if it will help!
thanks,

Maybe 'fingerproblems': You need to monitor the track in SX before it will show, or thruput, MIDI activity.

Thanks for the reply at0mic. i don't understand 'fingerproblems'. Do you mean clicking the 'speaker' monitoring icon on the track? Sorry, i'm new to sx. i've tried that and i still get nothing.

actually, if i draw in some midi notes on the track, i can drive and instrument and hear the results. i just can't record anything from the controller.

did i understand you correctly?
thanks,

'Fingerproblems': we use the word at work, when a pilot thinks there's a problem on the aircraft but he forgot to toggle some switch or something:
"Help my VHF-1 radio doesn't transmit"
re: "Did you select VHF1 for your mic?" re:re: "Oops"
Fingerproblems are problems caused by forgetting/overlooking certain switches etc. Fingerproblems are not system faults but can be solved by moving one switch usually

Yes, I'm talking about the speaker button on a track. Also make sure the Thru is active/not filtered.
As for a start, do not use DirectPLay on the synth, make sure the grey/blue/green button on XTCi is grey.

Good luck.
