Well, theres a question.....

The VIA motherboards of the past certainly offered poor performance for creamware cards. (And also poor pci performance)

But all the major manufacturers for athlon claim to have fixed pci performance problems in their next generation of motherboards.
How true this is we will have to wait and see.

All the new motherboards supporting ddr400 memory should I repeat SHOULD have pci performance problems fixed. This includes the VIA kt400, the nvidia nforce2 and the upcoming model from SIS.
But untill somebody tests these mobbos, there are no guarantees.

For the moment, the only mobbos providing decent performance, are the orginal nvidia nforce (updated to the lastest bios, and asus preferrably) and the AMD761, with the nvidia being supposedly the better of the two.

My advise would be to wait a month for the new mobbos to come out.
