All synth sounds come from the Nord Rack, except the offbeat bassy synth that comes in at about 01.00 which is the Pulsar You Know (hey those old synths still have some use you know )
Drums done with NI Battery, sequenced in Cubase, and I also used the Vinco (my demo still hasn't timed out?!) for a compression on the bass, percussion and final mix.
PT Free reverb and pulsar delays also used.

KOS,

I like it. I think it has a nice building quality to it. Makes me want to get in my car and take a drive (which is a good thing)

Haven't d/l the Vinco yet....do you like it's sound?

Anyway, good job.

The Vinco sounds good, although I seemed to have trouble getting the setting right for the job. Maybe it's just that I'm mixing on a hifi, but I had trouble hearing exactly the difference between compressed and uncompressed signals. The only other high-end compressor I can compare it to is the STW Compressor X of which I used the VST demo a bit. Although that was some time ago, so I can't A/B them, I think the STW was a bit easier for me to hear the effect en get the sound I wanted. My experience in compressing is still quite limited though.

In general, one of the good things about the 1176 (which the Vinco was modelled after) was its ability to compress fairly heavy in a transparent way.

I have used the Bombfactory 1176, and was pretty impressed. It would allow 6-8db of gain reduction without any audible artifacts. That's pretty good in my book.

I generally won't use any one compressor to affect more than 2-3db of reduction at one time. If I need more compression, I will generally layer different comps with different settings to get a smoother feel.

Just my .02....

Cheers

That was a nice trip really!
King, very well constructed, I think this really does the job very well. You make me realize that most people have problems in the structure of their songs, IMO, contrasting with the cleanness of yours. Structure it’s important and here I think you’ve achieve it perfectly, it really works man. Now I’m in silence. I always after listening to a song, keep in silence and watch which was the influence, the sensation that the song left on me, and your song let me feeling satisfied.

Think that techno and related, are not my cup of tea,…so for me to say “I like it” it’s rather difficult, well: “I like it”. And I’m rather surprised of it cos I never like it completely.

The mixing is fantastic, very… very good indeed, as well as the chosen sounds which are very coherent to each other. You should definitely do something with this work, using it somehow.

Keep working King

Thanks man! I'm definitely going to send out some demo's soon. I already got a list of labels that might be interested so I'll just post a whole load of them with my last 3 or 4 tracks on it. IMO this one is the best so I'll put it first
