i've never had this problem before. pulsar 2 and pulsar 1 have been working great for months now. recenlty i downloaded zarg's ambient demo from creamware website. i proceeded to load it into a project that i've been using for my latest track. i new ambient was dsp heavy so i deleted some synths and reverbs to free up some dsp, however it was not enough. the dsp overload box flashed up and i moved on to try to delete some more devices but everything froze as soon as i hit yes on the dsp overload box. i had to control-alt-delete to shut down pulsar but when i restarted and tried to load even and old project i kept getting communciation error with pulsar 1. i can't even load one device at a time without getting the same results. anyone have a solution other than a complete uninstall and reinstall?

I have an idea. Sounds like something in your cset.ini got changed by Pulsar crashing so hard. Reinstall 2.04a, and once you get your system the way you want it, set your CSET.INI (you can find it with a quick search of your harddisk) set it to READONLY. Of course if you want to change OS modes then you'll have to temporarily disable the readonly attribute.
