I've been thinking of moving to Cubase SX cos it sounds like it improves on cubase 5.1 in many useful ways, but it no longer has the part group feature from 5.1 or the local loop feature. Does logic have these functions?

Ill describe them in a bit more detail

group feature
you can select a bunch of parts (on different channels if you like) and select build group to generate groups which you can name eg, verse, chorus etc. You can then place these groups onto a special group channel. If you edit the original parts that were used to create the group the group inherits the changes.
Its a great way to be creative with composition.

the local loop feature
If you have say an 8 bar sequence that is looping and you want to create a 1 bar loop that runs along it, you can set a 1 bar local loop whilst you are editing this new part and that will loop for 1 bar whilst the rest of the track runs for 8 bars. That way you can listen to how you new part will sound against a whole section of existing music.

Also.. does logic now have multi undo/redo?
To be or not to be. What was the question?
