Clearly, I must have something not installed correctly. When I click on the 3DAT icon (the one I created and plopped onto my Windows desktop) it loads SFP but basically stops right there. 3DAT doesn't load and when I try to load it (again) I get an error message saying to close the other Creamware application. This is directly opposite from the way it worked under SFP 3.1 plain. So it seems, they (Creamware) must have fixed it but I need to understand how to make it so that 3DAT loads both SFP and 3DAT together.
DoH! Thought I tried that but maybe I was just imagining. Will give it another quick shot and see what happens. Thanks!!!
I have to say - so far - everything else is looking wonderful! All the little graphic annoyances seem to have disappeared. Tears of joy are starting to well up in my eyeballs but that could just be an alergy or something
This just in - loading 3DAT source & dest modules in default project didn't help. Same problem as before. I actually didn't think this was going to work but it was a nice try anyway.
Clicking on 3DAT icon opens SFP but doesn't finish loading 3DAT. Repeat attempt to open 3DAT by clicking on the icon (again) brings up an error message to close all open Creamware applications.
But this just in: clearly, 3DAT and SFPa work together but you can't create a desktop shortcut from the StartUp menu location (or load 3DAT from the StartUp menu). I can load SFPa and then manually load 3DAT from the SFPtriple.DAT subdirectory. That seems to work OK.
Well - back to work

If you open SFP first./.at the bottom right of your screen....right click it and select show....and then open tripledat it works. Everytime you open a new SFP project, you have to re open TripleDAT. Hope this solves it for ya
This sounded like the one i´ve had. If yes, then the solution is simple:
Open the TDAT - Shortcut with your RIGHT mouse and go to "Properties". Now you see under "Target" a loooong entry that causes the error. Check where your TDAT was installed ( mine is under C:SFPtriple.DATtriple.exe ) and type THIS into "TARGET". That should do it...
Or easier: Direct your Explorer to the TDAT Directory, point onto "triple.exe", leftklick on it (and hold the button) and drag it onto your desktop. This should create a new Shortcut, and it should work as well.
Good Luck!

Thanks Chris and all. I've actually come to prefer this separated way of working. It's not such a big deal that I have to load tripleDAT and Pulsar separately and I disabled SFP from starting up in the task bar.
I can load various 3DAT projects and keep a single Pulsar project running between them without having to reload Pulsar projects every time I switch in 3DAT. Kinda cool I guess.
Yeah, I agree. Not using SFP project sync, Triple opens/saves/closes in a flash. For CD burning I don't even need SFP running. Without CW's blunder I probably wouldn't have discovered this more efficient way of working with TripleDat.
