I experienced some problems installing certain programs like the HP CD writer Plus software etc while SFP was active. I had to exit SFP to install successfully.

um, you aren't supposed to have any programs running when you install software.

In Mac OS some installers demand to quit ALL apps, even the Finder (Win - Explorer) and all active extensions/control panels. I think it's good habit Hp stuff represents (to ask the user to close ALL the running (even in background) apps).

Except for audio programs, which may require audio drivers to be active...
