Well the graphics are faster, not sure if they are accelerated, but no more alpha blending making everything seem quicker.
The Live Bar is slick, you can load a synth and it will automatically be connected to the mixer. Quicker than manually routing yourself in many cases. THe new Shift-N is a nice touch.
24bit WDM, 64 channels (XP). This should hopefully make Sonar users happy.
Software packages. I think this should also make people happy as well, a key for each software package, with SCOPE/SP users now getting everything ... more later!

Remind me what the excitement was about..... Just being sarcastic.
It seems very sleek, in the readme in suggests installing the scope/sp option if you have devices bought from the creamware shop stating that it will only install the software you have keys for, I imported my keys file, (great idea cw btw) and let it install however it installed all the stuff I didn't have keys for as well. This makes xtc mode a drag.
My advice is to select the package option closest to your own and manually copy the files over as dicussed in the readme.

Some people use Sonar which doesn't support ASIO (even if Cubase, Logic, and FruityLoops all do). Now they have 24bit WDM-ks w/ 64 channels.
Some people need GSIF for Win2k/XP. Now they have it.
Many people spent "hours getting their first sound" from their card, because the routing window confused them. Now there is Live Bar which does simple connections for you.
Some people complained of slow graphics. The new version now no longer has alpha blending (see-through devices when you drag them). This speeds up the graphics a little bit and is a nice change.
The OS Mode seems much more solid than it was under 3.01. I run in this mode now.
I believe they spent a good deal of time with CopyProtectionViolation errors, hopefully even us dual users will be happy. I haven't tried the release version yet (server bogged!) so I'm curious about this one myself.

I´ll wait some more days before downloading, cause the 7.something kps I just got are just not acceptable for a 115MB-file... btw, I´m happy the way everything works right at the moment, and I´m not keen on re-editing all my projects once again while I´m still working on them. But I´ll add my two cents as soon as I have done the update.
So long, Joe

Seems there is still alpha blending if you use "classic" mode. But it looks really good so far. The installation was a breeze on win2K here. The import keys is choice! Lots more exploring to go yet though!

Not hearing that high-pitched squelch from my ADAT source when switching projects is definitely welcome!

Well its not perfect, but its pretty damn good, the xtc mode, which I never tried before seems excellent.
The live bar is a good idea, need for screen real estate.
There are a nigling bugs though I get a class exeception when loading mod2 I thing its to do with auto connecting. mod2 works fine its just annoying.
I think when v3.11b comes out this will be the must have software for creamware users.

Aren't ALL the buttons on that Remote assignable?

Sorry to break the conversation.. just something peculiar I realized. The "live bar" thing seems to HAVE to stay on top, even if I turn stay on top off. The people at CW must have been very happy with the live bar idea. hehe.
