God, why is the world like this?

Please join me for a moment in peace. Listen to my song, and think of the people in war.

If its too depressing you can always press stop, and then listen to some "Manu chau" or "For Miles" by calippo in this forum.

"Beautiful in its despair" Thalamus. I'm sure that's a cliche but it really does describe the feel of this track.

Just a suggestion for the outro: fading the percussion first, followed by the rest of the mix (instead of the other way around) might end the piece on an even more poignant note.

Great stuff.

or is it because of conflicted religious/world view differences and poverty/economic injustice? not much romantic about mutilated Palestinian children . .

As always, superb work Thalamus.

Hi all,

<B>Retro:</B>
About the outro; well, I finished the track in 2 hours, and back then i felt that the intro string had some strange "noises" in the background, a little like people screaming or crying... Then when i came to the outro (and the track is actually quite simple) I felt that the drums kind of was the lifting part (like "there's gonna be a tomorrow"), so i let them end the thing.
But if I should look at it from a more estetic kind of view, sure, to get a nice ending, the string should have the final word...

Actually I had some nice Cello going on, but it got too sad, so I skipped it...

You're right... Nothing romantic about this. It's just mankind getting too complicated.
