man.. you really do have great way of building parts.. the harmonic structure is almost classical in a sense.
As a suggestion (though it sounds finished) in the mix, you might want to dispurse the hats away from the center cuz it seems to interfere with the sibilance, which is pretty strong. Or you could de-ess the vocals a bit.
I'm just curious.. I wonder what would happen if you did heavy harmonizing with the voice.. you definitely do have the capacity of making great harmony. You're very capable!

I'm impressed by this one too (I've just reviewed the Dance Project II track). I'd say that the only criticism I have is that maybe the middle section is too interesting. This isn't really a criticism of this tune, it's just unusual for one in this style to have extended variation. You might find that a slightly more drawn-out build up back to the main section might be more appropriate. Anyway, this is just my opinion and again I really think that as it is it works really well.
I'd be interested to know what devices you used for the main synth line which is the first thing you hear in the tune.
Cheers,
Will

Hi,
This is a thumbs up!! You're doing great work. Also this song is great. Have you ever sent in a demo somewhere?
Put slight more clear rythm in the intro of the phased part, to introduce the drums. Once the drums jump in, it sounds just great.
Repeat a more pronounced slicing effect once or twice in the song, instead of creating melody lines.
Ie. Make a longer song, and copy/paste (and adjust later of course) your best parts, you don't need many. But you need the best you can get. These will draw people's attention. Make it as catchy as possible....
Then, as you found a 2/3 variations for every part, now look for a couple of nice complementary/coherent/otherdifficultword presets which you can use a couple of times, to change the soundscape. Keep melody and rythm steady, don't change it to much. It's nice that you want a tail on your song, but it may keep the energy from the beginning of the song, don't let it calm down. People need to dance the whole song
The change on 50' should be longer, it's simpler on the dance floor. Nowadays, this kind of music uses longer breaks. This evolution has been going for a while, Daft Punk's One More Time makes it a laughof it, the whole song is break. The song never really starts, but is continiously promising. Oki, not any more after 10.000 times on the radio and literally everywhere. (I hate to say) commercial club trance is heading, as from IMHO about'90, to longer breaks to fill up the gaps. The break at 1"20' is better, there's no halt. You should not be ashamed to make it 2 or 4 times as long. (I have the same problem now in a song I'm working on, it needs longer breaks;)
Keep up the good work!!

Hey guys, great comments
This is actually the first Dance song I've ever made, so my experience is close to none.
Kensugoru: Yeah, you're right about the vocal sibilance, I'll try to remix this... You also mention the drums, well, actually I think i'll make them alot simpler. Thanks for your kind words.
w_ellis: As stated in the beginning I have no experience with dance music, nor do I listen to it. So your comments about "turning_down_the_charm" and making it simpler/less interesting is usefull to me, who always wants to "overproduce" my stuff. Tnx... The main synth line is amptown's synchroton through alot of dist/comp/delay
at0mic: Glad you liked the song, and no I havent sent demos nowhere yet (any suggestions?)
You seem like you dig this style alot, and have many supernice ideas about the song, which I keep close to my ear/heart. Thank you a 1000 times.

Oh no! You haven't sent demos YET?? It's a wonder why someone with such commercial capability would hold in their talent for so long, so as to let it grow this far. (though that could be good) I'm not sure what the industry is like in Denmark, but you should start sending right away. I'm sure you're not too far away from a deal.
You definitly have what it takes. But that's only 10% of the way! Get sending or I'll have to beat you with a 909 kick drum!!

Hold your horses, kensuguro...
Remember this is the first dance thing I've made, and though your comment flatters me, I don't think it has that much commerciel value (or maybe i'm stupid!)
Besides : I'm just a musician, and I don't find it interresting at all, to SELL my music, I just have fun making it.
Perhaps I just need an agent, or could you suggest some good places to send it to.

Hey w_ellis
I forgot to mention that lot of the nasty sound in the main synth line comes by running the synth through ohm force's free VST plugin FROHMAGE (a resonant filter), which in my ears, sounds absolutly awesome... a bit like sherman filterbank.
