Midicontroller

Hello everybody,
i want to buy a midicontroller for my setup and so i want to ask whether there is a special suggestion what is the best choice. It has to be small and if possible cheap. I thought of a doepfer pocket control/pocket fader or a phatboy, what about these? Are there any experiences?
