I just got the Pulsar DSP board v.1.02 and
I've gotten everything to work nicely except the midi out port. My J-station and Alesis RS-16 can't understand the midi data send to them from Pulsar but their data is understood by the workstation. On my Pulsar project I've just wired the sequencer midi source to Pulsar midi dest. I know it sends some midi information because occasionally something happens on the RS-16 or J-station but there's no sense in it?! Is my Pulsar hardware broken or is there a trick to sequencing the midi out?!? Please help soon so I can return the card if it's really broken. I have very little midi experience so it may well be that I'm missing something.

test your midi playing in Pulsar projectwindow by putting parallel a midi monitor, witch you will find under the project MIDI menu.
What you saw on your outboard gear as midi coming in,could be clock and synchro information.
Good luck.

I had the same problem. It has something to do with some revision of the card. I tried the exactly same setup on two cards and the other card worked, mine didn't. I suggest you send the card back but propably they will tell you it works fine.

Thanks for your replies! I took the card out of the PC and checked it. The midi out pins
were in a shortcut (!?!) so that's it. Back to the shop. Can't wait to get a new one...
