Hi all,
I'm having serious trouble on my DAW (PIII 1.4 GHZ TUSL2-c 512 MB ram Pulsar I Luna II).
When I open pulsar os and load up my project I want to use with cubase (no xtc-mode) I get several errors :
'Cannot read script file'
'Class'AuxPadHideRM'file'
I get these several times in a row, and then the Pulsar OS starts asking for all of my activation keys all over again. When I save them it goes well until I start Cubase VST. Then suddenly I get the error :
'Unexpected DSP overload!'
If this msg continues to reappear .....
I've read the whole manual inside out and can't figure out a way to get this straightend out. And in the end when I press retry or cancel after the error, there's no sound running anymore
In the project I loaded to run cubase with the only things that are loaded are the luna & pulsar midi i/o's, Luna analog source & dest, Pulsar sp-dif source & dest, wave source & dest, asio 2 source and dest (ten channels each) and at last the recording mixer v2. That's all so I guess on a seven dsp (pulsar + luna) this is impossible to go overload ...
PLZZZZ help I need to get my daw up and running again as soon as possible, I'm working on quiet important projects ...

HMMMM back again, now two hours later I get yet another error, I don't know where there all coming from and I've discovered that my ulli settings are getting messed up pretty bad too.
the error was : 'Hardware cannot be setup properly. Installation error: Pulsar does not support interrupt block size 256. Please delete the intblksize entry in cset.ini' I did that and the error kept reappearing. Don't know where the hell that comes from. As for the ulli settings, I suddenly can't get the settings to 7ms @ 44.1 anymore since the pulsar os now says it is not supported only 13 ms @ 44.1 is supported. I know it actually IS supported because of my LUNA II hardware in combination with the rest.
Subhuman, maybe you of all can answer these weird errors?

AAAh unexpected DSP overload on opening Cubase
Pffff I give up, I'll stop fidling around 'cause I think I'll end up f**king everything up. I hope some one can help me get this cleared out. I'll be back in a couple of hours, now I'll go get me a new stack of smokes. I ran out while seeking for solutions, but as the solutions aren't coming ... I NEED THE NICOTINE
Cheers and CYA

So what did you change? I assume it was all working along fine then you did something to your machine, install new software, hardware?
I'd probably reapply the latest Creamware update (V3.01 followed by V3.01B) overtop your current setup, see if that fixes it, then rebuild the projects, maybe they got corrupted. That usually fixes any weird problems I ever have (and I don't have many...)

Well
actually it is a all new setup. I upgraded mobo and CPU and at the same time did a format of my hd. Made two partitions one: OS and Apps and the other for audio.
Setup is : PIII 1.4 GHZ 512 mb ram tusl2-c advansys scsi with plextor writer and cdrom Matrox g550 and at last a pulsar I and a luna II.
I install win98 se with al tweaks and IAA, matrox drivers, pulsar and luna drivers and the pulsar os, I copied all my luna devices into the pulsar map and then installed cubase vst 5.1, rebirth 2.0, wavelab, recycle, reason, protoolsfree, that's it.
Yesterday i tested everything with an old project, that I rebuild and with some backups of the audio I got everything working properly. I saved everything everywhere and today when I started up the DAW the errors began to come up. When I started cubase it even got worse.
Any ideas?
What about the ulli that says the low ulli settings aren't supported anymore?
P.S. about the updates, I'm still waiting for cw to reregister the pulsar I to my name along with all the devices I bought with it. This seems to take forever ...

Assuming you have the cards connected via STDM cable, right?
What Pulsar OS version are you using? The fact you can't use the lower ULLI seems to mean we need a <a href=http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... =3&2>small tweak to the CSET.INI to make Luna2 the masterboard</a> or a reapply of the 3.01+reboot+3.01b+reboot (definitely try that first).
If you're coming from 2.0+ version of Pulsar to 3.0+ version, you should rebuild your projects after you apply the patches again. There is undoubtably more optimizations and tweaks you'll still need to do - which slots are you using? May I suggest slots 1,2,5 (any combination but leaving the others empty) for your Creamware cards, with an IRQ assigned to those Slots inside your Computer's BIOS? That usually fixes problems too - make that change before applying the 3.01/3.01b.

Hi again,
Yes the cards are connected with an stdm cable. The cards are in slot 1 (luna II) and slot 5 (pulsar I). I'm running the 3.0 Pulsar OS that came with the pulsar. I don't have the 3.01 nor the 3.01b yet. I'm waiting to get acces to CW site once it is reregistered. I had Luna II v3 running before the upgrade and all projects I think should be compatible and even rebuilding them didn't help. I applied the cset.ini tweak and now I get an all new error coming up : 'appropriate hardware for luna Z-link not found'
both cards are on IRQ 9 not sharing with anything else, assigned via bios.
thx in advance.
Hope we can sort this out ...

Download and install Pulsar V3.01 + V3.01B from Creamware's site. You don't need to register to download and install it, thats only for Luna(which you shouldn't need nor should you install, if you did, uninstall Luna and Pulsar then install V3.0 followed by V3.01 then V3.01B). Ignore the Zlink warning, and remove the zlink modules (replace them with fresh versions), should be fine.
Well what dya know...
After installing 3.01 and 3.01b the pulsar OS asked for all activation keys once again, and then suddenly all errors gone ... Great
I finally got up to loading everthing like it should and I could have a peek at my performance boost compared to my old via based crap daw. Well it's just great
25 channels playing and cpu remains under 30 % and disk goes up to 30 % max. As for the dsp well with an additional 4 dsp's I don't worry no more about the limit ..
Maybe I will soon when I start to use more dsp hungry fx and instruments but we'll see ..
Thx a whole sub and keep up the good ...
